See, I’m not the only one. Canada, may you be a role model for the USA. For all those customers who say that not playing Christmas music until later is degrading Christmas with negativity, I have something to say to you: please, please, please work retail for one holiday season. That is degrading enough. When nonstop Christmas music is played for two months, it is ever more degrading. Capitalism officially degraded Christmas a few decades ago.

It’s a question most of us seem to have pondered at some point: When should stores start on the Christmas season?

For one Canadian drugstore chain, the first week in November is too soon, at least for the sounds of the season.
